1st draft of DPS
This is my first draft of my dps. I am planning on putting the picture of the band in front of the fire I think this will look nice and give an eye catching effect. I will make the fire more transparent so that it is not as striking and the writing is easier to read. So far I am happy with the way my dps is turning out and I am not having any problems.
1st draft of contents
This is my first draft of my contents page and so far I am very happy! I am going to add page numbers with titles onto each picture on the middle section.
3rd draft of front cover with the background
I am really happy with the way my front cover is turning out.
I think that the background goes well and adds to the indie effect. I think to improve this further I am going to change the colour of the top banner to purple then the writing to black, this will make it match the bottom banner and not look so out of place.

2nd draft of front cover
I decided to stick further to my TA feedback and prefer it without the black banner. I think without the black banner it look neater and more in-place.
I think that the background so far does not look right e.g not 'indie' and I need to choose something that is more eye-catching and makes the band stands out as well as my tags.
I am planning on putting on more advertisements to make the cover more interesting.

First draft of front cover
So far I am happy with the way my front cover is turning out and I am looking forward to adding more to it. The only problem I have come across so far was cutting out the picture of the band, I did not realize how difficult it would be, I restarted numerous times as I some how kept cutting off parts of peoples faces and feet, in the end I did over come this problem by zooming right into the picture and carefully going over every part.

Full double page spread write up.
If you are tired of listening to your average 'every-day' music then look no further! Peaceful Panic is exactly what you are looking for and i can promise that you will not be disappointed - after you have read this you will be dying to listen to the hot new band Peaceful Panic and will not stop thinking about them.
This week's top story is of four boys with one dream. The new upcoming band Peaceful Panic will no doubt be stealing your hearts and minds with their brilliant music and outstanding lyrics.
Peaceful Panic are a new four piece band all aged 17. The band consists of;
A lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist - Liam Broughton
A backing vocalist and bass guitarist - Connor Petch
A lead guitarist - James Boyle
A drummer - Luke Friskney
Each member of the band loves what they do and cannot wait to find out what their audiences think of their music. Music is their everything and with your support you can help them to become to best new chart-topping indie band of 2015.
Peaceful Panic work together to write all of their own songs. Each member puts 110% into their role and take it very seriously. The have regular band practises and are always coming up with new ideas to share with the group. I feel very lucky to know them all personally and to watch them progress is amazing.
Peaceful Panic can be found on Facebook, Soundcloud and Bandcamp. They have recently released one of their first songs 'The barn' on Soundcloud and is available to purchase now! 'The Barn' is based on a place where the band hang out and escape from reality, a quote from the song is 'Head down to the barn that where i'm understood' this shows how comfortable and at home they feel in the barn and with each other.
Before 'Peaceful Panic' became a band they would do what you would expect any other teenage boys to do and still continue to no. They go out, go to parties, they go to college, have jobs - they really are just like most normal teenage boys.
Liam broughton (The lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist) And Connor Petch (Backing vocalist and bass guitarist) started off around 3 years ago making youtube videos of them both singing whilst Liam also played guitar. Liam and Connor did covers such as 'Payphone' by Maroon 5 and 'Too close' by Alex Clare. After so long they deleted this account and stopped.
Each band member has their own individual style and their own caring personalities. They never fail to turn any moment into a happy one! They are all very mischievous and are forever making each other laugh and playing pranks on each other. I can assure you that as they progress through the music industry they will become very successful and gain a very unique fan base that will support them throughout their music careers . I believe that the music they will create in the future will mean a lot to hundreds of people as Peaceful Panic like to make sure that their lyrics are alway relatable to different situations people may be facing - whether they be good or bad.
((I have not used all of this text in my DPS as I could not fit it on. I understand that in a real magazine the main article could go on for 5 or 6 pages whereas ours only goes over two))
